Swastik Creations

People usually get lost when they come to Chandni Chowk for the first time because it's so crowded and the lanes all look the same. We are at Katra Subhash, right on the first floor at number 4859. It is not a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep our stuff. Swastik Creations has been around for a while now. My father started things here and I just sort of took over when I got older. Most of our days are spent dealing with boxes and talking to people who walk in looking for something specific. It gets really hot in the summer, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. There are just piles of fabric and finished pieces everywhere. Sometimes it looks messy but we know where everything is. If you’re looking for the fancy entrance, you won’t find it. You just walk up the stairs and we are right there. We mostly do work for local folks and some people who come from outside the city because they heard about us. It’s a lot of work and sometimes the power goes out, which is annoying. But we keep going because this is what we know how to do. We don't really do much advertising or anything. People just find us or someone tells them to come here. That’s pretty much the story of how we run things every day.
