Sm Enterprises

Our business, Sm Enterprises, is tucked away in Masjid Wali Gali, near Jk Lodge by the Turkman Gate. It is a very old part of the city with narrow lanes and lots of history. Getting here can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the crowds, but it’s a lively place to work. Our shop is small and packed with all sorts of things. We have stuff piled up to the ceiling in some spots. We spend our day navigating the narrow streets to get our goods in and out. It’s always noisy with people talking, bells ringing, and the general bustle of Turkman Gate. We don't have a lot of space for a proper office, so we just have a small corner with a chair and a tiny table. We've known the people at Jk Lodge for years. Our days are spent dealing with customers who come in through the alleyway. We don't use any fancy language or sales tactics. We just show people what we have and tell them the price. Sometimes we share a meal with the neighbors or just sit outside for a bit of air when it gets too cramped inside. It’s a tight-knit community here, and we just try to be a reliable part of it every day. The work is constant and there is always something to move or sort, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We close up when it gets dark and walk home through the market.
