Seth Engineering Works

Our shop is at number 50 on Shradhanand Marg, right near Angoori Bagh. If you’ve been around this part of the city, you know it stays busy. Seth Engineering Works has been operating out of this spot for years. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal shavings and there’s always that smell of machine oil in the air. It’s a small space, really, but we make it work. We have the lathes and the drills set up along the walls. It gets hot in the summer, especially when the machines have been running since eight in the morning. We mostly just focus on the jobs people bring us. Sometimes it’s a single part that needs fixing, other times it’s a whole batch of things. We don't have a big sign or a lobby. You just walk in and someone is usually working. We know the neighbors pretty well since we've shared the same street for so long. Lunch is usually eaten quickly so we can get back to the machines. There’s always some noise coming from the street, horns honking or people shouting, but you get used to it after a while. We don't do much fancy talking, we just do the engineering work that needs doing and try to keep the equipment in good shape. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just stay focused on the metal and the job in front of us.
