Hameed M Yunus Engineering Works is right there at Shop No 42/5 on Dasna Road, near the Dasna Gate. It’s in the heart of the Main Market in Jatwara. If you walk by, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal being worked on or a machine running. Our shop isn't a showroom. It’s a place where things get fixed and built. There’s grease on the floor and tools scattered across the workbenches. We’ve been here for years, and the locals know us pretty well. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. The work speaks for itself, really. Most of the time, we’re hunched over a piece of machinery or talking to a customer about a repair. It’s a bit messy, but that’s the nature of engineering work. We don't have a front office or a waiting room with magazines. People just stand around and watch us work while they wait. The heat can get pretty bad in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. We handle all sorts of mechanical jobs, some big and some small. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we aren't all related. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything leaves the shop in better shape than it arrived. It’s just how we do things here in Jatwara. We don't need fancy words to explain what happens in a workshop like this.
