Gammon India Ltd

We’re set up at 430 Indra Vihar, right near Kingsway Camp in New Delhi. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of students and activity everywhere. Our office isn’t huge, but it fits us just fine. We have a lot of maps and blueprints pinned to the walls. It’s a bit of a maze of paper in here sometimes. Being near Kingsway Camp means there’s always somewhere to grab a quick snack when we’re working late. We don't spend much on decorating. Most of our budget goes into the tools and the people doing the actual work. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We talk about concrete and steel all day long. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit, but that’s just Delhi for you. We’ve been at this address for quite a while now. The local tea stall owner knows our order by heart. We aren't here to make a big show of things. We just want to make sure the engineering projects we’re managing stay on track. It’s a lot of checking and re-checking figures. Sometimes we get tired, but we keep at it because the work needs doing. It’s a practical life. We’re just a group of people working for Gammon India Ltd, trying to keep things organized in a very busy city. We take our lunch breaks together when we can and talk about things other than construction. Then it's back to the grind until the sun goes down.
