Leather Style

We are located at D-6 on the ground floor of the MIG D.D.A. Flats in Sarai Khalil, right in the heart of Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed and noisy it gets. Our shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend all our hours working with leather. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy like that. It’s just a workspace filled with the smell of raw hides and the sound of heavy-duty sewing machines. My brother and I started this because we knew the trade from our father. We make all sorts of things, mostly items that people use every day. We don't use big machines for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand with basic tools. The space is small, so we have to be careful where we step, especially when we have a big shipment of materials coming in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It’s not a corporate life, that's for sure. We don't have a website or a marketing person. People just find us by walking through the lanes of Sadar Bazar or by hearing about us from other shopkeepers. We just focus on making sure the stitching is strong and the leather is good quality. It's honest work.
