R L & Sons

We are over here at Shop No 19 in Building No 1875. It’s right inside Vardhman Market. If you know Gali Ghante Wali, you know how busy it gets during the day. We are basically right opposite the Central Bank of India. It’s been a while since we set up R L & Sons here in Chandni Chowk. Every morning starts the same way. We open the shutters and see the people already moving around the market. Sometimes the street is so packed you can barely see the bank across the road. It’s a lot of noise and people shouting, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve got the shop arranged how we like it. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we do. The fan hums in the corner and we just get to work. People stop by to ask for directions or just to look at what’s in the window. The light in the lane isn't always the best, but once you step inside, it’s alright. We see the same faces every day, from the tea seller to the bank guards. It feels like we are part of the brick and mortar of this old market. R L & Sons is just a small part of the mess that is Chandni Chowk, but we are here every day. Shop 19 is our spot. We don't change much. Just keep the floor swept and wait for the next person.
