Pragti Furnitures

Our shop, Pragti Furnitures, is in Rohini, Sector 8. We’re right at Madhuban Chowk, which is a landmark most people in this area know. The address is C-8/562. It’s a busy spot with lots of people passing by. We have furniture stacked up, sometimes even on the sidewalk if we’ve just received a big delivery. We sell all kinds of things like beds, sofas, and dining tables. We also do some custom woodwork if someone wants a specific size for their cupboard or desk. It’s a family business. My father started it, and now I help run things. We aren't like those big fancy malls. Our floors are concrete and we don't have bright spotlights. We just show the furniture as it is. People come in, sit on the chairs, check the wood, and haggle a bit over the price. That’s just how it works here. We try to keep things that last long because people in Rohini want value for their money. We don't have a delivery fleet. We usually hire a local rickshaw or a small truck to drop things off at the person's house. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic from Madhuban Chowk always in the background, but we're used to it. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a real community. We’re open most days, except for when we have family stuff to take care of. The shop door squeaks a bit when it's humid and we keep a small fan on the desk.
