Being at 2903/ 4 Lahori Gate in Sirkiwalan means we are right in the thick of it. Paras Tech Pvt Ltd is up on the 1st floor, and the stairs are quite narrow, so you have to watch your step. Lalkuan is one of those places that never really goes quiet, and there is always a smell of street food and old buildings in the air. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We have a lot of wires running across the ceiling and boxes stacked in the corners because there is never enough storage. The windows are small and look out over the alley, so we don't get much sunlight, but it keeps the place a bit cooler in the summer heat. We spend most of our hours looking at circuit boards or typing away at the keyboards. Sometimes the internet acts up because the old lines in this neighborhood are a mess, which can be frustrating when we are busy. We usually get our lunch from the small shop downstairs that makes decent parathas every day. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are in the room at once, but we make it work. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us by name now. It’s just a regular workplace with regular people trying to finish their daily tasks before the sun goes down and the market gets even more crowded with shoppers.
