New United Engineering Works

You can find us at B-20 in the G.T. Karnal Road Industrial Area. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of heavy traffic. The noise on the main road is always there, but once you get into the industrial lanes, it’s all about the work. New United Engineering Works has been around for a good bit now. We do a lot of general engineering stuff. People bring us things that are broken or need a specific modification to work right. We have a bunch of older machines that still work perfectly fine if you know how to treat them and keep them oiled. It’s not all high-tech computers and automation here. A lot of it is just experience and knowing how metal behaves under pressure. The shop is usually a bit dark and smells like old oil and burnt steel. We don’t mind it. It’s the smell of a full day's work. We have a small crew of dedicated guys. We aren't interested in being a huge firm with a board of directors or fancy meetings. We just want to fix what needs fixing. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if someone is in a real hurry. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you call, one of us will just wipe our hands on a rag and pick up the phone. It’s a simple way of doing things. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we just keep doing what we know. It’s honest labor and we're okay with that.
