New Star Engineering Works

Running a place like New Star Engineering Works on Farashkhana Main Road is a lot of work. Our address is 1482, and it’s a spot where there is always noise from machines and traffic outside. We deal with metal, welding, and fixing parts that people bring in from all over the city. The floor is usually covered in iron filings, and there is a smell of grease that never really goes away, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy signs or air conditioning in the workshop because that’s not what helps us get the job done. If someone needs a piece of steel cut or a frame welded, they just walk in and talk to us. Farashkhana is a busy area, very crowded, so getting materials delivered to the shop can take forever. We have a few old lathes and some newer welding sets. It’s mostly just us working with our hands. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait, which is annoying but part of life here. We don't have a secretary; if you call, one of the guys with oily hands will probably pick up the phone. It’s just how we operate. We’ve been at this location for years, and most of the neighbors know us as the guys who make a lot of noise but get the repairs done.
