N B C Travels

If you look behind the PVR Rivoli Cinema in Delhi, you’ll find us at Plot No D 74 in the Regal Building. It’s right near the GPO, so it’s a very central spot, but it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. N B C Travels has been operating out of this building for years. The building itself has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the hallways. We spend most of our time on the phone or sitting at the desks trying to sort out travel routes and bookings. It’s a busy environment because people are always in a rush when they’re traveling. We see all kinds of folks coming through—tourists looking for a way out of the city and locals heading home for the holidays. The noise from the cinema and the street outside never really stops, but we’ve learned to work through it. Our office is functional, with maps on the wall and stacks of old ticket books. We don't have any big corporate plans; mostly we are just trying to make sure the buses and cars get where they need to go on time. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a late driver, and we just have to fix it. That’s the nature of travel in a city like Delhi. We just stay here and answer the phones.
