Manish Manchanda

I’m Manish Manchanda and I work out of House Number 278 on Kunj Street. This is in Shalimar Bagh, specifically Street Number 1. Delhi is a huge place, but Shalimar Bagh has its own rhythm. It’s a mix of families and small shops, and you get to know the people living next door pretty quickly. My office is just a part of the house that I’ve set aside for work. It has a window that looks out onto the street, so I can see who is coming and going. I don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. Usually, it’s just me and maybe one other person helping out with the chores and the filing. We don't use any complicated systems. If a job needs doing, we just sit down and do it until it’s finished. Sometimes we stay late when the work piles up, but mostly we try to keep regular hours. The street can be noisy with scooters and kids playing, but it’s a good kind of noise. It reminds me that I’m part of a community. I’ve lived in Delhi all my life, and I’ve learned that you don't need a lot of flash to be successful. You just need to show up every day and stay honest with people. That is how we do things here.
