Japs Enterprises is right in the heart of Chandni Chowk at Shop No.1074. Being near the Shisganj Gurdwara means we are always surrounded by the sounds of the prayers and the constant flow of people. If you know Old Delhi, you know how crowded and narrow these lanes are. Our shop is small, like most of the ones in this area, but we pack a lot into it. We have been here for years, watching the tourists and locals pass by our door. The smell of street food is always in the air, which makes it hard to stay on a diet. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly shelves stacked high with whatever we are selling at the time. You have to navigate the rickshaws and the porters carrying heavy loads just to get to us. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone not used to the chaos. We open up early and stay late, just like everyone else on this street. The Gurdwara is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We don't do much advertising because the foot traffic here is so heavy already. People just stop in when they see something they need. It’s a very traditional way of doing business and we like it that way. No corporate meetings, just direct talk with whoever walks through the door. It’s a busy, dusty, and loud place to work, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
