Iyer Crafts

Our setup for Iyer Crafts is inside Block B of the Green Glade Apartment over in Saket Colony. It’s not a shop on the main road, so it stays fairly quiet during the day. We use one of the rooms mostly for storage and another for actually putting the crafts together. There are boxes stacked up against the walls and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down. We mostly work with our hands, using whatever materials we’ve managed to get that week. You’ll find things like thread, bits of wood, and paint scattered across the old dining table we use as a workbench. The light in this part of the building is pretty good in the mornings, which helps when we are doing the smaller details. Saket Colony is a nice enough place to work from, even if getting deliveries up to the apartment can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. Most of the day is spent just making sure things are glued properly or tied right. We aren't trying to be a big corporation or anything like that. We just enjoy the process of making things from scratch. Sometimes we lose track of time and work late into the evening when the colony is completely silent. It’s just a regular local business run out of a living space.
