Haveli Ram Mulkh Raj is right in Gadodia Market at Khari Baoli, Shop No. 1. It’s a very old area and the shop has been part of it for a long time. We don’t have any fancy displays or modern furniture. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We mostly deal with dry goods and spices in bulk. Every day involves a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags around. It’s a busy market, so there are always people and carts moving past the entrance. We don't have a big office or a computer system that does everything for us. We still use paper ledgers and pens to keep track of what goes out. The air is thick with the smell of different spices, which can make you sneeze all day if you aren't used to it. We don't do any big advertising or have a social media page. Most of our customers are traders who have been coming to us for decades. It’s a lot of manual work and the hours are long. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot and stay until the market starts to close. It’s a bit messy and crowded inside, but that’s just how things are in Gadodia Market. We just focus on getting the orders right and moving the stock from the trucks to the shelves. It’s a simple life in a noisy, crowded place.
