Genpact

Gulabi Bagh is a pretty established area of Delhi, and our little setup here in Flat 134 B is tucked away in the DDA flats. It’s definitely not your typical glass-and-steel office building. It feels much more like a home, which is something we actually like about it. There’s a lot of history in these flats, and the neighbors are usually around, hanging out or running errands. We handle our Genpact business from here, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the files and desks we have crammed into the rooms. The lighting isn’t the best, so we use a few extra lamps to keep it bright enough to see what we are doing on our screens. In the afternoons, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—people talking, cars honking in the distance, and the occasional vendor walking by calling out their goods. It keeps us grounded, I think. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’re basically walking into our workspace. It is simple and honest. We put in our hours, drink a lot of chai, and try to stay on top of our responsibilities every day. It might seem small to some people who are used to big towers, but it’s our base and it works perfectly fine for what we do. We like the local vibe and the fact that we can walk to get lunch nearby.
