Freelance

Freelance is located at 29 Maheshwari Appt in Sector 14, Rohini. It’s a quiet residential society, which makes it a good place to focus on work without too many distractions. I started this whole thing from my spare room and eventually, it just took over the whole space. Now there are desks everywhere and the dining table is mostly used for sorting through mail and documents. It’s not a corporate office by any means. You’ll see laundry drying on the balcony and might hear the pressure cooker going off in the afternoon. That’s just how it is when you run a business from home. I’ve lived in New Delhi 110085 for years, so I know the area well. Clients sometimes come by, but most of our stuff happens online or over the phone. I don’t have a big staff, maybe just a part-time helper who comes in a few days a week to help with the admin stuff. The furniture is a mix of stuff I’ve bought over the years, so nothing really matches. It’s comfortable though, which is what matters when you’re working long hours. Sometimes the neighbors ask what I’m doing with all these computers, and I just tell them I’m busy with work. It’s a low-key operation, and I like keeping it that way. No stress about high rent or fancy office politics. It gets messy sometimes, but we always find what we need.
