Durga Engineering

Durga Engineering is situated at No. 18, on the 1St Cross of M.S.R. College Road. Being so close to the college means there are always students walking by, which keeps the street busy. We are an engineering shop, so there is usually the sound of metal being worked or machines running. It’s a bit of a gritty job, but we enjoy the process of making things from scratch. Our space isn't huge, but we have managed to fit all the necessary equipment in there. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a big project on the floor. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people who need engineering work in this part of town just know where we are. We have been on M.S.R. College Road for a good number of years now. The crew is small, just a couple of guys who have been doing this for a long time. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; we just have a small desk in the corner for the bills and stuff. Engineering is about solving problems, and that is what we do every day. Sometimes a job is easy, and sometimes it takes all afternoon to figure out why something isn't fitting right. We just stay until it’s done. It’s a basic, hard-working shop. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to do decent work.
