Devdutt Aggarwal

Devdutt Aggarwal is just here at Shop No. 9. We are in the middle of Gopinath Market in Khari Baoli. It's a very busy place, usually crowded with people moving sacks around and carts passing by. If you know Delhi, you know how Khari Baoli is. We spend our whole day in this small shop space. It’s not fancy or anything. Just the way things are in this part of town. Most of the time we are just busy with the daily work of handling what comes in and what goes out. People come and go all day. The shop has been here for a while now. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just the counter and the shelves behind us. It gets pretty loud outside with all the shouting and the trucks, but we are used to it by now. We just open up in the morning and stay until things quiet down in the evening. There isn't much to say other than we are right here in the market. Sometimes the electricity goes or the rain makes the street messy, but we keep the shop running regardless. Gopinath Market is a tough place to work but it’s where we belong. We know our neighbors and the other shopkeepers around us. It’s just regular work for us every day. We don't have time for fancy talks, we just do what needs doing to keep the place going.
