App Power Tools

App Power Tools is tucked away at A-440 in Shastri Nagar. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in here because we have so many boxes and machines stacked up to the ceiling. If you’re looking for a drill or a saw, we probably have it somewhere in the back, though it might take a minute to dig it out of the piles. The shop smells like machine oil and metal, which is something you just get used to after the first week of working here. We spend a lot of time testing equipment and showing people how to use things without hurting themselves. It gets pretty loud when we’re checking a motor or a grinder. Shastri Nagar is always crowded, so there’s a lot of foot traffic past the door and noise from the street. We aren’t a big chain store, just a local shop where we know which tools actually last and which ones are junk. We do some repairs too, so there’s always a pile of broken stuff waiting to be fixed on the workbench. It’s messy work, and our hands are usually stained with grease by midday. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open up the shutters every morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a contractor needing a whole set of tools, and other times it’s just someone needing a specific screw. We just help them out and move on.
