Our spot in Shastri Nagar is right near the metro, at E 2 173. Being so close to the station is great because the Delhi traffic is a nightmare, so most of us just jump on the train. You can practically hear the metro announcements if you stand near the front door. The office itself is pretty straightforward. 3I Infotech Ltd uses this space for a lot of our technical support and development. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when everyone is in at once, but we manage. There are cables running along the floor and stacks of papers on the desks that we keep meaning to file away properly. It is not a polished corporate showroom. It is a place where we actually do the work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but nobody really cares as long as the servers are up and the code is clean. We have a lot of regulars who have been working here for a long time, so it feels like a small community. We share tea from the stall downstairs and talk about the latest cricket scores during our breaks. It is a very normal, slightly messy, but productive environment. We don’t have any grand statements to make to the world. We just show up at E 2 173 and get to it every morning. It is home for us during the work week.
