Xact Impressions

We are based in a village called Shimulia Para, which is near Sanjib Nag in the West Bengal area. Our mailing address is through the Chandpara post office in the North 24 Parganas district. It’s quite a way out from the big city noise, which we prefer. The surroundings are more rural, with lots of greenery and open space. Our workplace is a simple building where we handle our impression and printing work. It’s a bit of a journey for anyone coming from outside the village, as the roads can be narrow and bumpy. We have our machinery set up in a large room, and it makes a fair amount of noise when everything is running at once. The smell of ink is pretty much always in the air. We are a small crew of local folks who have been doing this for quite some time. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that; it’s just a practical workshop. During the rainy season, things slow down a bit because of the weather, but we keep at it. We spend our days checking proofs and making sure the colors are coming out right. It’s physical work and our clothes often end up with a few ink spots by the end of the shift. We are just regular people trying to do a good job for our customers. Being in the village means we know almost everyone who passes by our gate. It’s a quiet but busy life.
