Vertex Machine Tools

D-106 in Sector-10 is the spot where Vertex Machine Tools operates. It is a pretty standard workshop in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything that looks too modern. It’s just a place where we keep the machines and get the daily tasks finished. Sector-10 is a decent area for us to be in. We've been here long enough that the neighbors don't mind the noise we make during the day. Most of the time it is just us and the tools working away. We don't really have a front office, so if you come by, you're walking straight into where the work happens. It's a bit dusty on the floor, but that’s normal for a place like this. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the hours are spent measuring things and making sure the cuts are exactly where they should be. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. There are just a handful of us here. We know each other well and we know how the machines sound when they’re running right. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job, but we don't mind it much. It’s quiet in the sector after dark. We don't have a website that looks professional or a mission statement on the wall. We just show up and do what needs doing. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’re okay with that.
