Universal Engineering

Universal Engineering is right across from the Government Inter College in Chaura Raghunathpur, Sector 22. Being opposite a school means it gets very loud when the bells go off and the kids are heading home. We’ve been based here in G B Nagar for quite a few years now. The office is pretty basic, just some desks and old computers that we probably should have replaced years ago. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the engineering work that comes our way from the local industries. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know the area pretty well. It's a busy part of town and there’s always something going on outside our front door. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most of our work comes from people just dropping in or hearing about us from the college staff across the street. It’s a regular job for us, and we try to do it right without making a big fuss. The workspace is often filled with blue prints and half-finished projects. We keep the door open during the day to let some air in, even if it brings in the street noise. It's just a local business trying to keep up with the daily grind in Sector 22. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over time, but we mostly stay the same in our little corner.
