Sophia Cyber & Communication Institute Downloading is over in Sector 5, Harola, right near the Nahar Chowk area. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We have a set of computers where people come to do all sorts of things online. Some folks are downloading music or movies, while others are trying to sort out their government ID paperwork or print out documents for work. It’s a bit of a mix here. We call it an institute but it’s really just a place where you can get some help with computer tasks if you aren't too sure how to do it yourself. The chairs aren't the most comfortable in the world, just standard plastic ones, but they do for an hour or so of browsing. We have a lot of cables running along the walls to keep everything connected. The room can get a bit warm when all the CPUs are running at once, so we keep the fan on high. Harola is a crowded place and our shop reflects that, it’s cozy and always has someone coming in and out. I spend a lot of time showing people how to use the scanner or helping them find a specific website. It’s a practical place for the community. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just a small board outside so people know we are here to help with their digital chores and basic internet needs for the day.
