We have been operating out of C- 42 Sector-63 for quite some time now. It’s not a fancy office with a lobby or anything like that, just a regular workspace where we handle all the cutting and stitching for B. K. Fashions. Most mornings start with the sound of the heavy metal shutters being rolled up and the smell of the nearby tea stall’s first batch of chai. Sector-63 can get pretty loud during the day with all the trucks moving in and out, but inside the building, we are usually focused on the patterns and the fabric rolls piled up in the corners. It’s a lot of physical work, moving boxes around and checking the machines to make sure they aren’t acting up. The lighting isn't perfect, but it works for what we do. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine and how to get things done without making a fuss. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, which is just part of being in this area, so we take a break and sit by the door until it comes back on. Our space at C-42 is basically filled with thread, spare parts, and finished pieces waiting to be moved. It’s a bit messy at times, especially when a big order is due, but we know where everything is. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the work gets out on time.
