L. I. Silk Exports

We are located at A-2 in Sector 58. This part of the sector is mostly filled with offices and small factories. L. I. Silk Exports is our home base where we handle different silk fabrics and get them ready for shipping out to other places. The building is just a standard industrial block, nothing very special to look at from the street. Inside, we have long wooden tables for inspecting the silk carefully. Silk is very delicate, so we have to be extremely careful how we handle it every day. The air inside is often filled with a bit of lint, and we keep the windows closed to keep the street dust away from the expensive fabric. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking for any snags or issues with the colors. We don’t have a showroom here because we don't really sell to individual people who just walk in. It’s mostly about handling the bulk orders and the logistics of shipping. The phone rings a lot with people asking about their delivery dates. We have a small area in the back where we keep all the packing materials like boxes, tape, and plastic wraps. In the winter months, it gets quite cold in the warehouse, so we all wear thick sweaters while we work at the tables. Lunch is usually a quick affair at the small food stalls near the main gate of the sector. We’ve been here for a few years now.
