Fille Bags

We are over at D-46 in Sector 10. This is where we make all our bags. It’s a pretty straightforward setup with some sewing machines and cutting tables. We use different materials like canvas and synthetic fabrics, so there are always rolls of stuff leaning against the walls. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of orders to finish, but we manage. The people working here have been at it for a while, so they know their way around a zipper and a strap. We don't really do much advertising; people just seem to find us or hear about us from someone else. Sector 10 is a good place to work out of because it’s easy for the delivery bikes to get to us. We try to keep the place organized, but between the thread scraps and the off-cuts of fabric, it’s a constant battle. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy front window. It’s just a door in a row of other businesses. Most days you’ll hear the sound of the machines from the sidewalk. We just focus on making sure the stitching is strong and the bags are durable enough for whatever people want to use them for. It’s not a complicated business, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood we’re in. We keep the kettle going and just get through the pile of work every day.
