Riya General Stores

Riya General Stores is located at Raj Nagar Rdc C 95. I named it after my daughter when she was small. Now she’s much older, and the shop is still standing. We keep all the basic stuff like rice, pulses, and some stationery too for the school kids around here. Raj Nagar is a bit more modern now than it used to be, but our shop stays the same. I have a small fridge for cold drinks which is very popular in the summer months. It hums quite loudly, but you get used to it after a while. I spend my mornings checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread. It's a lot of small tasks that fill up the day. I don’t use any fancy systems, just a simple calculator and my memory. Sometimes I forget where I put the spare keys, which is a bit of a joke with the regulars. The Rdc C 95 area is busy with offices too, so we get people coming in for snacks during their breaks. I try to keep the place tidy, but with so many boxes coming in every Tuesday, it’s a struggle. I usually eat my lunch right there at the counter between customers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and I get to talk to people all day long. I am happy with how things are.
