Om Provisional Stores

Running Om Provisional Stores at Darya Ganj Netaji Shubash Marg 7/B is a lot of work, but it keeps us going. The shop is right there on Netaji Shubash Marg, which is always noisy with cars and people moving about. We’ve been at 7/B for a while now, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. Inside the store, it is a different world compared to the busy road outside. We have our rows of pulses, spices, and all the little things that people realize they ran out of at the last minute. Darya Ganj is a place that never really sleeps, and we try to keep up with that energy as much as we can. The shelves are made of old wood that we’ve painted a few times, and the floor has its fair share of scuffs. We don't have a team of people in suits; it’s just us behind the counter handling the cash and bagging the goods. Sometimes the heat in the summer gets a bit much since we are right on the main path, but we just keep the water cold and keep working. It is an honest way to make a living, selling basic stuff to the people who live and work around Netaji Shubash Marg. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Delhi, just the one that’s open when you need it most. It’s a long day from start to finish.
