Our unit is located inside the NEPZ economical zone, specifically at Sdf J-9. If you’ve ever been to this part of Noida, you know it’s a whole different world compared to the residential areas. There are gates and security checks everywhere, which makes it feel very official, but inside the unit, it’s just us doing our thing. We focus on garment production at Rv Fashions. The building itself is quite functional, built for work rather than looking pretty. We have long tables set up for cutting and sorting, and the sound of machines is pretty much the background music of our lives here. It’s a bit of a trek to get to the canteen from our block, so we usually just bring lunch from home and eat together near the windows. The light in the afternoon is actually quite good for checking the colors of the fabrics. We don't have many visitors because of the security at the main gate, which actually helps us stay focused on the tasks at hand. There are always rolls of cloth being moved around and people checking lists. It’s a busy place, and the floors get covered in lint by the end of every shift. We’ve been operating out of this zone for a while because it makes sense for the logistics, even if the commute through the city traffic is a bit of a struggle every morning.
