Nathus Sweets

Nathus Sweets is over in Gamma II, Sector 18. It’s a busy spot, especially on the weekends when everyone is out and about with their families. We deal with a lot of sugar and milk every day. The smell of frying usually fills up the whole shop by mid-morning when we start the fresh batches. We have our regulars who come in for the same thing every time, and we pretty much know their orders before they even speak a word. The counters are glass and we spend a lot of time wiping them down because of all the fingerprints. Being in Gamma II means we get a lot of local people coming by after work or on their days off. The floors are stone and they’ve seen a lot of wear over the years we've been open. We don’t have a massive team, just enough of us to keep the trays full and the customers moving. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and it throws the whole morning off, but we manage to catch up. The back room is where all the heavy lifting happens with the big pots and the stove. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like being part of the Sector 18 community. You see the kids grow up and then they start coming in on their own. It’s just a normal shop doing normal things. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make the sweets.
