Mohit General Stores

Our shop is located at B-1/35 in Sector 50, which is a pretty quiet part of the neighborhood most of the time, except for the evenings. Mohit General Stores is basically where we spend most of our waking hours during the week. It’s a very straightforward setup with shelves lining the walls and a heavy counter near the front door. We stock the usual things people need for their homes, like soap, pulses, and snacks. Nothing too fancy or out of the ordinary for a place like this. Sometimes a neighbor drops by just to chat for a few minutes while they pick up a loaf of bread or some eggs. We’ve seen the kids in this block grow up and go to college over the years. It’s a small operation, mostly run by family, so there’s always someone you recognize behind the counter when you walk in. We don't have fancy uniforms or big signs with bright blinking lights. We just keep the lights on and the door open for whoever needs something at the last minute. The rainy season can be a bit of a mess with people tracking mud and water inside, but we keep a mop handy nearby. It’s not the kind of place that wins any awards, but we are here every day regardless. We know which milk brand people prefer and who likes their change in specific coins. It’s these little things that make the day pass by much faster.
