Mittal Saree & Matching Center

Running Mittal Saree & Matching Center in Atta Market keeps us on our feet pretty much all day. If you know Sector 18, you know how loud and crowded it gets outside Shri Amar Complex. We are right across from the Shiprta Hotel, so there is always a crowd of people passing by. Inside the shop, things are a bit different. We have rolls of fabric and stacks of sarees everywhere you look. It takes a lot of time to keep the matching center part organized because there are so many shades of thread and cloth to keep track of. My family has been doing this for years, and we just like helping people find the right piece for their outfits. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three customers want to see different fabrics at the same time, but we do our best. The lights in the complex aren't always the brightest, so we often take fabric to the door to see the real color in the sunlight. Atta Market is a tough place to work sometimes because of the parking and the traffic, but we like being in the middle of it all. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just the shop floor and a small back room for tea. We just keep showing sarees and cutting fabric until it is time to pull the shutters down for the evening.
