New Jai Mahalaxmi

New Jai Mahalaxmi is located at number 32 on the Bhangel Main Dadri Road. We run a general store where we try to keep the stuff people use every day. You can find grains, spices, and all the little things you might run out of in the kitchen. The shop is narrow, and the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a wooden ladder to reach the top items. The road outside is always busy with bikes and rickshaws, so it stays pretty noisy in here. We open early in the morning before most people go to work, and we stay open late for those coming home. It’s a family business, so you’ll see different faces behind the counter depending on the time of day. We weigh out things like sugar and lentils into small bags for customers who don't want the big packets. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow, which they usually don't mind. We keep a ledger to write down what we need to order next. It’s a simple way of living, and we like the people who stop by for a quick chat while they buy their groceries. There’s always a crate of eggs near the door and some snacks for the kids who come in after school. We just try to keep the stock fresh and the floor swept as much as we can.
