We are over at Malik Batteries in Harola Market, right at Sector 5 V-21. If you know this market, you know it’s always packed with people and bikes everywhere. Our shop is mostly filled with heavy batteries for cars and those big inverters people need when the power goes out in the summer. It’s heavy work, lifting those things around, and my hands are usually a bit greasy by the end of the day. It’s not a clean office job, that’s for sure. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most days it’s just about checking if a battery still holds a charge or selling a new one to someone whose car wouldn’t start in the morning. People come in looking pretty stressed because their power is off at home, so we just try to get them sorted out quickly. The shop gets a bit dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, but we keep the stock moving. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t do fancy ads or anything. People just find us when they need help with their vehicles or home backups. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when it’s quiet, watching the crowd in Harola. It’s a busy life here but it works for us. We just focus on the batteries and making sure things run like they should for the neighborhood folks who rely on us. It is a long day usually, but we get by.
