We’ve been here at D-117 in Sector 63 for a while now. Most days it’s just the usual stuff, making sure the power backup systems are sorted and ready for whenever the grid decides to fail. It gets pretty busy around here in the mornings when the sun starts coming up and we get the shop opened. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office space where we keep our tools and the units we work on. People stop by sometimes just to ask about batteries or how to keep their inverters running longer during the summer months. The sector itself has changed a bit, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. There’s a lot of dust from the road sometimes, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. It’s more about getting the job done and making sure everything works when you flip the switch. Sometimes the phone rings all afternoon and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the fan buzzing in the corner. We keep a stock of different parts because you never know what someone might need. It’s a lot of hands-on work, dealing with wires and heavy boxes every single day. We know the neighbors pretty well by now.
