Jaya General Stores

Setting up Jaya General Stores here in Chanakyapuri on S P Marg A1 was a big step for us. This part of the city is quite different from where I grew up, but the people are nice. We keep a variety of household goods on the shelves. It’s a mix of things like spices, cleaning supplies, and some snacks for the kids who stop by after school. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things pretty high sometimes. I spend a lot of my time reorganizing the jars and making sure nothing is past its date. It’s a quiet routine most mornings until the lunch rush starts. We don't have any flashy signs or big promotions going on. It’s just a local place where you can grab what you forgot to buy at the bigger market. My wife helps me with the accounts in the evenings when the kids are doing their homework. The light flickers a bit in the storage area, but I'll get around to fixing it eventually. We try to stock the specific brands that the neighbors like. It’s interesting to see what people buy during different seasons. When it’s cold, we sell a lot more tea and biscuits. It’s not a complicated business, just staying open and being there when someone needs a quick loaf of bread or a bottle of water. We enjoy the daily interactions with everyone.
