Jain General Store

The shop has been here in Delta II for quite a while now. We are right by the canteen area, so there is always some movement around. It is just a small place, Jain General Store, but we try to keep the things people actually need. Mostly it is just neighbors stopping by for a packet of milk or maybe some bread in the morning. Sometimes the shelf gets a bit messy when we get a new delivery in, but we sort it out eventually. Living and working in Noida means things move fast, but inside the shop, it is usually just quiet talk. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just the usual stuff like soap, snacks, and some stationery if the kids are looking for it. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so that is when we do the accounts or just sit for a bit. People know us by name mostly, which is nice. We open up early because that is when the rush for the morning tea supplies starts. If someone needs a specific brand of biscuits and we don't have it, we try to remember to get it for them next time the truck comes. It isn't a big operation, just a regular shop where you can grab what you forgot to buy at the big market. We keep the doors open till late evening. It works out fine for everyone living around here.
