Happy Kids

We operate out of an apartment in Express View Apartments, which is in Sector 93 near the NEPZ area of Noida. It is 137-A in the Super MIG section of the complex. Since we are inside an apartment, it feels more like a home than a regular school. We use a few rooms of the unit to host the kids who come here. It is a very safe environment because the complex has its own security and the whole area is gated off. We have put some colorful mats on the floor and small cupboards for the kids to keep their bags and bottles. Most of the children who come to us live in the same building or in the ones right next to it. We have a daily schedule that includes some drawing, listening to stories, and playing with plastic blocks. Since it is a residential area, it is much quieter than the schools out on the main roads. We take the kids to the park inside the apartment complex for some fresh air and play when the weather is nice enough. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who look after the children and make sure they are fed. The kitchen is right there to warm up the tiffins the parents send. It is a very informal setup, and we keep in touch with parents through a simple notebook. We have been doing this for a while now.
