Gee Pee General Store

Gee Pee General Store is tucked away in Sector 56, right in the G Block Market 2 area. If you live nearby, you probably know our storefront with the sacks of rice and lentils sitting out front. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with pretty much everything you might need for the house. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the aisles, especially when we are restocking the shelves. We know almost everyone who walks through the door, and we usually end up talking about the weather or the local news while we ring up their groceries. We don't have a barcode scanner or anything like that, we just know the prices and write them down. It can get a bit chaotic on Sunday mornings when everyone is doing their shopping at once. The fans hum overhead but it still gets warm when the shop is full of people. We spend a lot of time checking our stock and ordering things that our customers ask for. If someone wants a specific brand of tea, we try to get it in for them. We are just a small neighborhood shop trying to keep the shelves full. It’s a lot of lifting heavy boxes and standing on our feet all day, but we like being part of the market. Sometimes kids come in just for a single piece of candy, and we don't mind. That is just how life goes here in Sector 56 and we are happy to be here doing this work for the community.
