Dimpal General Stores

Dimpal General Stores is located right by Metro Pillar No 60 on M G Road. If you are walking past Shop No 15, you will see us. We sell a bit of everything, from soap to snacks and small stationary items. Being so close to the metro pillar means there is always a lot of noise and people rushing by. Some people just stop for a quick bottle of water or a pack of gum while they wait for their bus. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack things high up to the ceiling. Sometimes it is a struggle to find something at the back of the shelf, but we usually know where it is. We do not have a computer for billing, just a notebook and a pen. It works fine for us. M G Road is always changing, but our little shop has stayed the same for years. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are constantly dusting the jars. It is just me and my brother taking turns behind the counter. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them late at night. It is a simple way to make a living. We know most of the regular commuters who pass by Pillar 60 every day. It feels good when they stop to say hello even if they aren't buying anything. We are just a small part of the city life.
