Deepak Sweet Corner

Deepak Sweet Corner is located at Shop No 35 in the Kanchanjunga Market in Sector 53. Our mornings start way before the sun is up because the milk delivery arrives early. We have large open pans for boiling milk and making the base for our sweets. The market is quiet then, but by the time we open the shutters, things start to wake up. Shop 35 isn't very big, so we use every inch of the counter to display what we made that morning. You can usually see the steam coming from the back where the cooking happens. People from all over Sector 53 stop by, some for a quick snack and others to take boxes home for their families. We have been in Kanchanjunga Market for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. The floor is usually a bit sticky despite our cleaning, just because of all the sugar we handle. It is a hot job, especially in the summer months when the stoves are going full blast. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that push the air around. We mostly focus on getting the textures right and making sure we don't run out of the popular items before the evening rush. It is a simple life of sugar, milk, and the daily market crowd.
