Bikanervala

Bikanervala is tucked away in Sarai Khwaja Band Market, specifically in Bunty Wali Gali. If you know the area, you know that Gali is pretty narrow and can get quite cramped when the delivery carts are moving through. We have been at this spot for a bit, and it is always full of the smell of frying snacks and sweet syrup. It is a local place where families come after they finish their grocery shopping in the main market. The floor is a bit worn down from all the feet walking in and out every day. We have the glass counters filled with whatever we made fresh that morning. It is not a quiet place, there is always someone shouting an order or children pointing at the sweets they want. We do not have a lot of space for people to sit, so most just stand around or take their bags home. The staff has been here for years, and we all just kind of know what needs to be done without talking too much. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff before the sun even goes down, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It is just how it goes in a busy spot like this. We do not try to be anything we are not, just a place to get something to eat in the middle of a busy neighborhood. It is loud and a bit messy, but it works for us.
