Bharatdwaj General Stores

Started the shop years ago in Sikanderpur Village. MG Road is always loud and busy with traffic outside, but inside it's just us and the regulars. We stock most things people need for their kitchens, like pulses, soaps, and those little items you forget at the big supermarket. It’s a bit cramped in here because we try to fit so much on the shelves. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit too long. My son helps out in the evenings after his classes. We know most of the people around here by their names. It’s not a fancy place, just a normal store where you can get your daily stuff without much fuss. The lights flicker sometimes when it rains. We open early so people going to work can grab a packet of milk or some biscuits. It gets dusty because of all the construction nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping the jars. Most days are the same, just keeping things organized and talking to the neighbors. It’s been at this address, number 223, for a long time now. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the lifting and the billing. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till night. We also keep some fresh snacks and cold drinks for the kids who walk home from the nearby school. Sometimes the inventory gets mixed up, but we sort it out eventually.
