We have been operating out of S-16 in Sector 55 for a long time now. The building is a bit older, and the paint on the door is starting to peel a little at the edges, but it does the job. Most days start around eight when we roll up the shutters. It’s usually quiet that early, just a few people walking their dogs or heading to the bus stop. Inside the store, we have things stacked pretty high on the shelves because the floor space is tight. You have to watch your elbows when you turn the corner by the rice bags. There is a small fan that hums in the corner which helps when the sun hits the front window in the afternoon. We spend a lot of time just rearranging boxes or checking what came in on the morning truck. Sometimes the delivery guy blocks the narrow road for a minute, and people honk their horns, but that is just how it goes here. We know most of the people who come in by their first names or at least by what they usually buy every Tuesday. It is not a fancy place with bright lights or anything. Just a regular shop where we keep the shelves full and try to remember where everything is. The address is Sector 55 S-16 if you are looking for us, right near the main gate of the block. We mostly just focus on keeping the basics in stock and making sure the shop stays open when people need things. The light in the back freezer hums a bit too loud but we ignore it.
