Atta Daal Dot Com

We are located at Shop No. 87 in the Chidda Singh Pal Market, right in Achher Village. Despite the name Atta Daal Dot Com, we are very much a physical shop where you can see the sacks of grain and pulses stacked up. The market is usually quite loud and busy, especially in the mornings when the deliveries arrive. We spend our time weighing out bags, checking the quality of the lentils, and making sure the flour is fresh. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags around, which keeps us pretty tired by the end of the day. We get a lot of locals from Achher Village who come in because they know they can get exactly what they need without any fuss. We also spend a good part of the day coordinating the orders that come in through other ways, making sure the right bag goes to the right house. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack things so we don't run out of room. There’s usually a bit of dust from the grain in the air, and the smell of raw pulses is everywhere. We don't have a fancy checkout counter, just a basic desk where we keep our accounts and handle the cash. It’s a simple business, really. We just provide the basics that every kitchen needs and we try to do it honestly from our spot in the market.
