If you have ever been down to Kashmere Gate, you know how it gets. It’s crowded and loud, but that is just how things are around here. We are Ankit Auto Agency, located right at 197, Prem Gali in the Punja Sharif area. Most days we are just busy moving boxes around and checking lists. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where we keep the parts people need for their vehicles. The shelves are pretty full and sometimes it feels like there is barely enough room to move, but we manage. My family has been doing this for quite a while now. I lose track of the years sometimes. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. Usually, someone just hears about us from a neighbor or another mechanic and they show up looking for a specific part. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to delivery guys. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit messy, but the shop stays open. It is a simple way to make a living, really. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help that day. There is always tea around if you wait long enough. It’s just us here, doing what we do every day in this little corner of the market. It gets hot in the summer but we keep going.
