Our workspace is located in Gali Number 2/11, inside what people call the White House building in Village Mamura, Sector 66. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you aren’t used to the narrow streets of the village. We share the space through Hari Om Modanwal and Rajesh Chauhan. The area is always buzzing with activity, from small shops selling snacks to people rushing to catch the bus. Inside, it’s a bit more focused. We have rows of desks with old monitors and headsets scattered around. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they do for now. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the big standing fans blowing all the time. There’s a small corner where we keep a water cooler and some plastic cups. We don’t really have a fancy lounge or anything. Most people here are just busy with their shifts, trying to keep up with the calls and data. The floor is concrete and we have to sweep it a lot because of all the dust that comes in from the street. You can hear the sounds of Mamura through the windows—cows, bikes, and people talking. It’s a very real place to work. We aren't tucked away in some shiny glass tower. We are right here in the thick of it, just doing our jobs in the middle of the community every day.
